Feverdreams is a compilation of live improvisations on the kora, a harp-lute from West Africa. I started playing the Kora in 1996 and soon after began experimenting with electronic devices. The result was my first release “Heartsrtings”, which blends the traditional and contemporary, acoustic and electronic. Feverdreams is a “technokora” soundscape which sets the stage for new Kora music to develop. I see it as a microcosmic journey into the anatomy of the Kora, as if you could hear it on the cellular level.
